Company: Passion Weddings Colorado LLC
When did you start your business? 2018
How did you start your business? I studied at the New York Institute of Art and Design. I started my business November 2018, and it took off! I do all my own advertising until now, design my ads, business cards, website, etc. Advertising is key!
What do you love about weddings? Love, all the designs, the spark you see in the couple, how beautiful weddings are with all the decor, flowers, the dress, it’s truly spectacular, and I am so proud to be a Wedding Planner and Designer!
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Seeing my work, it gives me a spark. I see such beautiful things I create. I love to alleviate stress on the bride and groom, couples start planning so soon, as you should, but they never get a chance to just enjoy being engaged! That’s my goal, “Enjoy your engagement, let me handle the rest.”
What is the most challenging part of your job? Wedding planning is a lot of work, it really is. There are so many planning aspects you have to have in order, even the smallest details play such a big role. If I did not study my passion at NYIAD, I would not be a successful wedding planner, learning my passion in this industry prepared me for this industry. If I didn’t study wedding planning, all the tiny, big role details I would have never known!
What do you want brides/grooms to know about you/your company? I took my passion and studied it. I went further and wanted to grow, and be the best I can be at what I do. This is my career, my goal in life. I am very down to earth, easy going, I am very good under stress and helping people cope with hard times and stressful moments. When you hire a planner, that should be one thing at the top of your list, having a planner who knows how to calm high tensions and stress. To know my personality, as outgoing, caring, creative, and down to earth, are all very important skills in a wedding planner. And to be accredited from NYIAD, shows how I want to be one of the best in the industry by studying what I love.
What are some tips that you have for a newly engaged bride? Take a breath. Enjoy your engagement! Don’t let the thought of wedding planning scare you away from enjoying your engagement. Be happy you are marrying the love of your life, and don’t jump the gun too soon on planning. Take a month or two. Go just ENJOY being engaged. Research the right planner, ask many questions. Get to know them during consultations. Check on previous work, reviews, the layout of their website, etc.
