To me this is the quickest way to make some great and healthy homemade pancakes from scratch. It’s a low mess operation with minimal ingredients. None of the fillers, artificial flavoring, or hard to pronounce ingredients you’ll find in boxed pancake mixes.
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 large egg
- Small Apple
- Half banana
- Combine all your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- In a medium heat, lightly greased pan, pour 4 inch cakes directly with your blender or a ladle.
- Pancakes will bubble on the uncooked, face-up side. This is a good indication to flip.
- Serve hot with a little butter and jam or syrup. I prefer Log Cabin. It’s made without high fructose corn syrup.
