Of all the places in all the world, my favorite place is in your arms.
This beautiful styled shoot took place in front of Mt. Garfield in Grand Junction, CO. Mt, Garfield is a beautiful landmark, all the natives know. You can hike to the top and you may even glimpse some beautiful wild horses. Today though, we took in the beauty of an engaged couple, willing to share their love with the rest of the world.
Some of our favorite aspects of this shoot:
The couple! They have been dating for years, they were silly, comfortable and willing to try any shot. The nerves of posing in front of people they didn’t know wore off quickly when they melted into each others arms.
The flowers! Can we just say WOW! What a lovely job of creating a moody bohemian floral arrangement. The dark colors popped against the brides dress and the landscape.
The cake! Vanilla and raspberry with fresh fruit and florals! It was the perfect color, and unlike many styled shoots, it was a REAL cake so we all got to enjoy eating it afterwards. Let me just say, it tasted as good as it looked!
“LOVE” books! What a fun addition to any decor, but it popped on the white ladder shelf and went perfectly with our bohemian theme.
OMG that ring! A 1.15ct rough cut natural diamond set in 14k rose gold. It was the perfect ring for the landscape and style. It was more gorgeous than the photos can even begin to show!
We had many elements working against us this day, which is something you always risk with an outdoor shoot. It was so windy and there was barely a cloud in the sky which made for a lot of work with the shadows and lighting. All in all the shoot turned out fantastic!
