How did you start your business? “Bright Linx” was founded through a search for connection. I have always loved jewelry and creating. As a child I made macramé bracelets and sold them at the arts and crafts show in Ridgway! While attending a fashion show in Ouray, Colorado I visited a vendor who was doing “P.J” and I fell in love with the process. I went home, did my research, completed a training program and *ZAPP*, Bright Linx P.J. LLC was born!
What do you love about weddings? I love the way weddings bring people together! It’s a true celebration of love and commitment; a bonding of not only two, but of entire families. My own wedding was one of the absolute BEST days of my life- perfection. It’s an honor to be able to celebrate the day of union of others.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Seeing peoples face’s light up from the final result of their custom piece is inspiring. There’s something so special about being part of the customization of a permanent adornment- it’s a sense of pride.
What is the most challenging part of your job? The blessing and curse of being a perfectionist. I strive for the perfect fit and feel with high-quality pieces, and I am proud to stand by my product.
What do you want couples to know about you and your company? I am a 6th generation Colorado girl! I have been in and around the Roaring Fork Valley for over 10 years, this is home. Permanent jewelry is special to me because of the connections I get to make with people and the lasting impact of these pieces. Being able to offer beautiful custom-fit and designed jewelry created alongside you brings me so much joy! Permanent jewelry is truly a special experience that lasts.
What are some tips you have for newly engaged couples? Have fun with each other. Never stop dating. Teamwork truly does make the dream work. Listen to each other with the intention of understanding, not responding. Be patient. Look at each other in the eyes when you speak. Make your hugs last at least 6 seconds.
