When did you start your business? 2007
How did you start your business? I had gone back to college (after a … few years away..) and had just started at the Culinary Program at Colorado Mesa University (then Mesa State) and during the first two weeks, a lot of the other students were bringing in cookies and such that they made. I brought in a Vermont Maple Cheesecake that I have been making for years. Chef Jon St. Peter took one bite and asked me where he could buy one. I said… ‘Give me 90 days!’ I went to the Business Incubator Center and opened 90 days later.
What do you love about weddings? Helping make that ‘special’ day!
What is the most rewarding part of your job? The look of people’s faces when they take their first bite!
What is the most challenging part of your job? Really do not have a ‘most challenging’ part! But if I had to choose, giving the Bride & Groom what they really want at a decent price, what with the ever-challenging rise in food costs.
What do you want brides/grooms to know about you/your company? We want to make them what they want and not just what we like to cook.
What are some tips that you have for a newly engaged bride? Planning, planning and planning…
